Synopsis

Yakumo Fuji started out as an average student with a not-so-average job as a "waitress" in a drag restaurant. It was then he had met Pai Ayanokoji, a simple, young girl with a big secret - she was the last of the Sanjiyan, a race of immortals whose distinguishing trait is a third eye that occasionally appears on their foreheads.

However, no sooner then Yakumo meets Pai, he ends up getting killed by Takuhi, her overly-protective pet. To save him, Pai's somewhat-controlling Sanjiyan personality absorbs Yakumo's soul into herself. Yakumo is now a "Wu" – in short, Pai's immortal companion. So in order to win back his mortality, Yakumo must help Pai to obtain a statue that would make her human.

The first four episodes of the anime center on Pai and Yakumo's battle against forces bent on securing the statue themselves... with Pai disappearing after confronting the horror standing in their way - the Sanjiyan Kaijan Wang, who is the living representation of the Hindu god of destruction Shiva - who was also Pai's betrothed.

The next three episodes takes place 4 years later. Yakumo has spent that time in Tibet, learning the dark magic and the martial arts he will need to find Pai and face off against Kaijan Wang. When he does find her, however, Pai has lost all memory of him and their mission. She is now known as "Pabo", living with her adopted grandparents and going to middle school in Tokyo. However, there is no time to lose... Yakumo has to take Pai to the ancient land of the Sanjiyan itself, not only to hopefully open her memories – but to stand up against their foe!
