Synopsis

The only thing that was on Tsutomu Senkawa's mind was to ace the high-school admissions exam, without the distractions of his family (especially his oddball father), friends at school (who keeps tempting him with hentai manga)... and his friend Natsumi Hayamiya, always concerned about him... getting into the way. He never counted on running into a space alien, running for his life... and especially getting killed by the female space police officer by mistake!

But that's what happened. And the officer responsible – Birdy Cethon Altera – now has to fix it... by merging her body with Tsutomu's! As a result, Tsutomu now shares his life and body with an impulsive, reckless, but dedicated female peace officer, further complicating his already complicated life.

However, the two have to find a way to get along – and quick! A renegade scientist from beyond the stars has enlisted the help of a scientist on Earth - a former war criminal from World War II - to create powerful psionic soldiers – at the expense of the general population. In order to get to them both, Birdy and Tsutomu has to contend with vicious alien assassins and robotic hunters. And there's still Tsutomu's test scores to be concerned about, as well as trying to find a way to tell Natsumi about Birdy when she sees the two exchange forms.

This series is based on the ongoing manga by Masami Yuuki, who also created Patlabor: The Mobile Police.
