Misaki Saiki

Misaki Saiki is a character in the manga and anime Ghost Talker's Daydream. Her Japanese seiyou (voice actor) is Masumi Asano, and her English voice actor is Karen Thompson.
Taken away from her mother at a young age, Misaki was sent by her father to live with her grandmother. It was discovered early on that she had the ability to see and communicate with departed spirits. However, because Misaki was born an albino, she had trouble fitting in at school. A lot of her stuff was vandalized by the other kids, and she was often called "Ghost Girl", mostly because of her pale skin and red eyes. Because of this, Misaki often has trouble interacting with other people.
Growing up was no different. Misaki is now grumpy, lonely, and often curses when aggravated. She is currently a professional dominatrix in the club "Murmure", one of the most exclusive S&M clubs in Tokyo. She is well-acquainted with the various perversions her clients have, and has used her bad experiences from her past for this, often satisfying them with the pain she delivers. But she often supplements her pay at the club by a job her father had lined her up for – as a medium and exorcist with the Livelihood Preservation Group, a mysteriously-funded group that deals with supernatural incidents. Her main handler however, Souichiro Kadotake, although a good agent and an excellent fighter, is also deathly afraid of ghosts, which forces Misaki to drag him to wherever she senses a ghost.
As a medium, Misaki has the ability to see dead spirits, and to help them move-on to the afterlife. There is hardly any danger in this, but in the rare instance she knows she'll be in a dangerous situation, she brings in an entity known as Kinue, which resembles a length of black rope that looks like it was made of human hair. When either Misaki is attacked or she commands it, Kinue will fly into action, and will either bind whoever is attacking her, or Misaki will use it to restrain those from danger. However, this comes at a cost to her – Kinue will drain a certain portion of Misaki's energy as payment for it's services. Misaki often wears the leather fetish clothing she wears at Murmure to sites of ghost encounters, covered by her street clothing; she says it makes it easier to move in case things get interesting. Kinue is often wrapped around her limbs, concealed until needed.
However, because of her visible profession of being a dominatrix, Misaki has run into her share of odd people – namely Mitsuru Fujiwara, who stalks her relentlessly, but often helps her out whenever she runs into trouble. And she has become an unwilling role model to Ai Kunugi, who she helps out in clearing her dead sister of murder. Ai afterwards had developed the same spirit-seeing powers as Misaki.
Besides the obvious disadvantages of being an albino – pale sensitive skin and bad eyesight – Misaki has another quirk she is embarrassed about. She was born without pubic hair, and in the later part of the anime series had taken a trip to hair-growing shrines to remedy it.
