Ninja Nonsense: The Legend of Shinobu

Synopsis

Usually, the life of a ninja is a hard and serious one, a life dedicated to iron discipline, and time-honored tradition... but somehow, the producers of this series were not abiding to tradition (they must've drank too much sake during the production meetings of this series). Ninja Nonsense (or Ninin Ga Shinobuden in Japan) ignores all that traditional stuff and nonsense and moves like a runaway freight train to the utterly absurd!

Shinobu is a young ninja-in-training. She is a kind, hard working girl, extremely dedicated to her craft... but a little naïve and bubbleheaded, as well as a bit gullible. She still has yet to master most of the secret techniques of the art of the ninja, which results in her flubbing a lot. Most of the students in her academy are a bunch of lame-brains and perverts – with her teacher Onsokumaru the worst of the lot! But during an assignment the jerk gives Shinobu (she had to steal panties from four different houses for the big pervert), she meets Kaede Shiranui, a young girl who she quickly strikes up a friendship (Shinobu describes her relationship with Kaede as 'more than a friend but less that a lover'). She even shows Kaede the location of her academy, which she soon become a frequent visitor to the Ninja Manor.

In time, we meet Shinobu's little sister Miyabi, a prodigy spellcaster who absolutely HATES Onsokumaru, and frequently uses the pervert as her personal punching bag. As for the other students in Shinobu's academy... well... let's just say that they're mostly a brick short of a full load and only serve as comic relief. As for serious action... well... there isn't much of it either, only a lot of ecchi and oddball humor that'll leave you laughing all the way to the hospital... from the sore ribs from laughing so hard.
