Pumpkin Scissors

Synopsis

In an alternate version of Western Europe, it had been three years since a ceasefire had been declared between two warring factions, the Royal Empire and the Republic of Frost. Within the crippled Empire, starvation, disease and renegade soldiers turned bandits run rampant, and the government is either unable - or unwilling - to stop it.

In order to stop this new threat, a special division of the government, the Imperial Army State Section III, also known as the Pumpkin Scissors, is formed. Their field commander is 2nd Lt. Alice L. Malvin, a plucky, sword-wielding blonde officer born from one of the Empire's noble families, who graduated from the academy on the night peace was declared. The idea for this special unit had came from Malvin, who made the suggestion one day that in the Empire's recovery from the war, that they must 'face the threat of corruption from within and cut them away like the layers of a pumpkin'. Although considered a waste of valuable money by many of the Empire's government, Malvin, Corporal Randal Oland, a dog named Mercury and the rest of the Pumpkin Scissors face one crisis after another – especially those government officials who wish their secrets kept.
