Synopsis

Shinichi Wantanabe, that demented director who brought to existence Tenchi Muyo! GXP, brings to life this anticipated (?) sequel to another of his creations, Excel Saga!!! And just as you thought it was okay to leave the funny farm!!!

Poemi Wantanabe has a dream – to be the greatest seiyou (voice actor) in anime history! The daughter of the great director Nabeshin (yes, the same Nabeshin from Excel Saga), Poemi will stop at nothing to achieve her goal. The problem – Poemi's voice sounds like buzzards dying, not to mention she has terrible grades. Of course, her grades are no problem to her classmate Futaba Aasu, who thinks she the sexiest... if Poemi would notice, who is stuck on an extremely emo boy named K.

However, another stumbling block happens in Poemi's life, namely her parents Nabeshin and Kumi-kumi getting killed by an alien. So Poemi has moved in with Futaba's six sisters, Earth's self-appointed guardians (not exactly ideal, but it beats living in a pup tent in the park next to a pervert). However, the wheels of destiny have been set into motion when Poemi encounters a mysterious, silent man who gives her a magical talking fish – which she can skin into a wand that transforms her into Puni Puni Poemy! However, Poemi better learn to get her act together (not to mention stop referring to herself in the third person as 'Kobayashi') and try to stop K – who is actually an alien octopus – from taking over Japan's hentai industry (as if some of us care)!

A word of warning: the same weirdness found in Excel Saga can be found in this series, which has the following... what... I'm not allowed to list them all? Okay, have it your way!
