Synopsis
An average high school kid named Yuji Sakai discovers that he is basically a living ghost. Sometime ago, Yuki's soul was devoured by a monster known as a Rinne. His soul was replaced with a "torch" which will allow him to live for a little while more until his existence completely fades away. It is so gradual that when he finally disappears, nobody will ever know he even existed.
Yuki soon meets a young girl who's job is to fight Rinne, and the masterminds who control their action (called Tomogara). She ignores him at first, but is inspired by Yuki's overwhelming desire to live, something she has never seen before from somebody with a "torch" for a soul.
