Souichiro Kadotake

Souichiro Kadotake is a character in the anime and manga Ghost Talker's Daydream. His Japanese seiyou (voice actor) is Tomokazu Sugita, and his English voice actor is Sam Riegal.

On the outside, Souichiro looks like your average Japanese salaryman – he wears eyeglasses, cheap business suits and drives a nondescript sedan. However, Souichiro works for the Livelihood Preservation Group, an organization which is heavily-funded from an unknown source, and is responsible for helping departed spirits to find their way to the next world. But the true mystery is... why in the world Souichiro works there, mostly because he is scared to death of ghosts! If he knows a ghost is going to be where he is, he ends up frightened to the point of almost losing control of his bladder!

If he wanted to, Souichiro would avoid ghosts altogether – but he's in charge of Misaki Saiki, so he usually accompanies her on her assignments. It isn't bad really, since many times Misaki dresses for work in the back seat of his car and he sometimes takes advantage of this by getting a free peek – at the peril of either getting beat-up by Misaki... or getting into an accident because of his inattention.

But even if they don't run into ghosts, sometimes they run into a situation with the living, and that's where Souichiro really shines. He's an excellent martial artist, and is capable of fighting-off armed and unarmed opponents. He is also partially in charge of Ai Kunugi since the girl developed the same powers as Misaki, and occasionally has to sheppard Mitsuru Fujiwara, Ai's classmate and stalker of Misaki. Now if he can do the same for ghosts, then MAYBE Misaki would finally show him some respect!
