Synopsis
A shadowy legend dressed in red walks the desert wastes of the planet Gunsmoke – a legend named Vash the Stampede. Also known as "The Humanoid Typhoon", Vash is reputedly responsible for the destruction of one of the Seven Cities, the "Great Fall" of spaceships to this planet, not to mention countless other crimes. In fact, this list is so long, Vash carries a $$60,000,000,000 bounty on his head. Some bounty hunters had tried to collect on this... and paid for it by being grievously injured.
Meryl Stryfe and Millie Thompson, two ladies who work for the Bernardelli Insurance Company, have been sent to locate, and somehow keep Vash from committing more atrocities. But when Meryl and Millie do catch up to him, they were in for a BIG surprise! Vash, it turns out, is in actuality a soft-hearted, bumbling and cheerful goofball, who is only interested in doughnuts, and spreading love and peace!
However, Vash's skill with the pistol IS as legendary as was told... but he hates killing, and only resorts to using his gun as a last resort. But soon Meryl and Millie learn that Vash has two other weapons: his left arm is actually cybernetic and is often used as a back-up to his gun. But his right arm – the Angel Arm – happens to be deadlier than any other weapon ever made!
But no sooner than Vash is found, he is soon harassed by a mysterious group of mercenaries known as the Gung-Ho Guns... and their leader Million Knives, who happens to look exactly like Vash. What reason does Knives and the Guns have to torment the gentle-mannered Vash – and what is the history between Vash and Knives?
